Social publishing
TikTok
App setup, audience selection, media limits and the sandbox restrictions.
TikTok requirements
The Systemly TikTok application must have Content Posting API access, Direct Post enabled, and approval for the required scopes. The TikTok account must then authorise that app.
Connect TikTok
- Open Social → Accounts and choose TikTok.
- Sign in to the TikTok account that should publish for this workspace.
- Approve profile, statistics, upload, publish, and video-list access.
- Return to Accounts and check that the correct handle is displayed.
Choose a TikTok post type
TikTok posts require media. Use one video, or a photo post containing up to 35 JPEG or WebP images. A post cannot mix photos and video. Photo posts can request automatic music; availability and the final result remain subject to TikTok.
See Media requirements for the complete file rules.
Set audience and interactions
Systemly fetches the account's current creator options when you compose the post. You must select an audience; Systemly does not assume a default. Only privacy levels returned by TikTok are offered. Comments, Duet, and Stitch can be enabled only when TikTok says the creator and post type allow them.
Direct publish or TikTok inbox
Direct publish
TikTok processes and publishes the post using the audience and interaction settings you selected.
Send to inbox
TikTok sends the upload to the creator's inbox. Open the TikTok notification to finish the post inside TikTok.
An inbox upload does not appear in Systemly's Drafts tab because TikTok, not Systemly, holds the unfinished item.
Processing and confirmation
TikTok publishing is asynchronous. An accepted upload is not the same as a live post, so Systemly checks TikTok until processing succeeds or fails. Large videos can remain in Processing for a while. Do not retry while the first upload is still processing.
TikTok developer reference
Deployment administrators can use TikTok's official Content Posting API guide for current app review and publishing requirements.
