Social publishing
Overview
How publishing works end to end, and what happens after you press schedule.
Supported networks
Systemly publishes to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and Pinterest. Connections and posts belong to the current workspace, so an agency can manage several clients without sharing their credentials or content.
How publishing works
- Connect each destination from Social → Accounts.
- Select one or more destinations in the composer.
- Write the shared post, add media, and make any platform-specific changes.
- Save a draft, publish immediately, or schedule it in the workspace timezone.
- Systemly validates each destination, queues the work, and records its result separately.
Publishing is handled in the background. You can close the browser after a scheduled post is accepted; the connected account and queued job remain in the workspace.
Post statuses
Draft
Saved for editing and not queued for a network.
Pending approval
AI-assisted content waiting for a person to review and approve it.
Scheduled
Queued for a future time in the workspace timezone.
Processing
Systemly or the network is still publishing it.
Published
Every selected destination completed successfully.
Partially published
At least one destination succeeded and at least one did not.
Failed
No destination completed successfully.
Cancelled
A scheduled post was stopped before publishing.
Each destination is independent
A multi-network post is one item in the calendar, but every selected account has its own publish record. If Facebook succeeds and TikTok fails, Facebook stays published. Retrying sends only the failed destination and does not duplicate the successful one.
The network remains the final authority. It may continue processing media after Systemly sends it, reject a format that passed basic validation, or apply account-level limits.
Next steps
Start with Connecting accounts, then review Media requirements before preparing a campaign for several networks.
