Usage and limits
The monthly allowance, paid extra usage, and how spend is measured.
Monthly AI usage percentage
Open Settings → Usage & limits to see your monthly AI usage percentage, reset date and paid extra usage. The percentage measures the provider cost of text, images and video against one allowance shared by your whole organisation. Adding client workspaces does not multiply it.
Each paid plan includes a provider-cost allowance equal to 50% of its monthly AUD price. For annual billing, the monthly equivalent is the discounted annual price divided by 12, and the provider-cost allowance is half of that amount. A Growth plan at A$99/month costs A$950.40 annually with the 20% discount, so its monthly AI provider-cost allowance is A$39.60. For example, an A$99 plan has an A$49.50 allowance: A$9.90 of provider spend means 20% used. Free has no included allowance. Feature permissions still apply: buying extra usage does not unlock features outside your plan.
The included allowance resets on the first of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. It does not roll over. Paid extra usage is used after the included allowance and does not expire.
How text, image and video usage is measured
Provider-reported dollar costs are converted into AUD using a reference exchange rate captured when the request starts. Larger models, longer conversations, more generated images, reference images and longer videos generally use more of the allowance. Each agent step and retry is budgeted separately.
Before a managed request starts, a conservative cost is reserved against the organisation budget. Pending requests appear as reserved usage. This prevents simultaneous requests and pending video renders from spending the same allowance twice. Unused reserved capacity is returned when the reported cost is recorded. A request that does not fit is refused before it reaches the model.
Read your usage
- Open Settings → Usage & limits. Owners, admins and managers with integration-management permission can view this page.
- Read Monthly AI usage: the percentage used, percentage reserved and next reset date.
- Use 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days to inspect call and token counts in this workspace. The allowance percentage covers the whole organisation.
- Read Paid extra usage separately. Its AUD balance carries forward and is used after the included allowance.
Buy extra AI usage
An organisation owner or admin can select Buy extra usage under Settings → Usage & limits. Purchases are A$5–A$500 and are charged in AUD. Half of the purchase funds provider costs; the rest covers delivery and margin. An A$10 purchase therefore funds A$5 of provider costs. The displayed extra-usage balance represents the remaining purchase value.
Extra usage is granted only after payment is confirmed. It is shared across the organisation, remains separate from the monthly percentage, and does not expire. If you reach 100%, wait for the reset, buy extra usage, upgrade, or connect your own provider key.
Your own key does not use the allowance
Workspace and organisation provider keys are paid directly to that provider. Their call counts remain visible but do not use the monthly percentage or paid extra balance.
