Embedding a form
Putting a form on a site you already have.
Add a form to your website
- Open the form and publish it.
- Select Share, then copy the Embed code.
- Add the snippet to an HTML or custom-code block on your website.
- Publish the website and submit a test response.
- Check the form's Submissions tab and the CRM contact created by the test.
How the embed works
Systemly supplies an iframe pointing to /embed/your-form. It uses the full width of its container, has no border, loads lazily, and starts with a 640-pixel minimum height. The embedded view omits Systemly's public-page chrome while keeping the form's own name, description, fields, validation, and submit state.
Submissions behave the same everywhere
- The hosted link and iframe submit to the same published form.
- Required fields and server-side validation are unchanged.
- CRM updates, tags, opportunities, notifications, and automations still run.
- File fields upload directly to managed public storage before the form is submitted.
- A configured redirect opens inside the iframe.
For a full-page confirmation or redirect owned by your website, link to the hosted form instead, or set the success destination to a page designed to work inside the embed.
Publishing and changes
Changes become visible after you save them. Unpublishing or deleting the form makes both the hosted URL and iframe unavailable immediately; past submissions remain in Systemly. The form slug stays the same when its display name changes, so existing embed snippets do not need replacing.
Troubleshoot an embed
Form is unavailable
Confirm the form is Published and the iframe src matches the current Share code.
Bottom is clipped
Raise the iframe's min-height in your website editor.
Upload is rejected
Use an allowed image or document no larger than 10 MB. Public storage must also be configured on the Systemly deployment.
Nothing appears in CRM
Check that Create or update a contact is enabled and that the form maps an identifying email or phone field. The response may still be present under Submissions.
