Refund & cancellation policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

You can cancel at any time, and there is a free plan, so you can try Systemly before paying for it. This page explains what happens when you cancel and when you get money back.

1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and get a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it fixed in a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to cancel and get a refund for the unused portion.

Nothing on this page limits those rights.

2. Cancelling a plan

  • You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens Stripe’s billing portal.
  • Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then moves to the free plan. You are not charged again.
  • Moving to the free plan does not delete anything. If you are over a free-plan limit, you keep your data but cannot add more until you are back under it or upgrade.
  • To delete your account and data entirely, use account deletion in your account settings, as described in the privacy policy.

3. Subscription refunds

Outside your consumer law rights, subscription fees are not refunded for part of a billing period, because the plan stays active until that period ends. We will refund:

  • a duplicate charge, or a charge made in error, in full;
  • a renewal you did not mean to keep, in full, if you cancel within 7 days of the renewal date and have not used the paid features since;
  • the unused part of a period, pro rata, if we remove a feature you materially depend on, as the terms promise; and
  • the unused part of a period, pro rata, if we close your account other than for a breach of the terms.

4. Paid extra AI usage

AI usage you buy on top of your plan does not expire. An unused top-up can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. Once any of a purchase’s usage has been used, it is not refundable, except under your consumer law rights. The usage included in a plan each month has no cash value and is not refundable.

5. Charges from other providers

Charges billed to you directly by providers you connect — your own Stripe, Twilio, Resend or AI provider account — are between you and them, and we cannot refund them.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email support@systemly.com.au from the address on your account, with the invoice number or the date and amount of the charge. We reply within 5 business days. An approved refund goes back to the original payment method, and usually appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can contact your state or territory consumer protection agency — in Western Australia, Consumer Protection WA.
