Cookie policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
Systemly uses a small number of cookies, almost all of them to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers. Here is every one.
1. Essential cookies
These are needed for the service to work, so they cannot be switched off. They contain no advertising identifiers and are never shared.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| systemly_session | Keeps you signed in | 30 days, renewed while you use it |
| systemly_pending_login | Remembers that you are part-way through signing in with two-factor authentication | 10 minutes |
| systemly_plan_preview, systemly_role_preview | Only for our own staff, when previewing the app as a lower plan or role | Until the browser closes |
| systemly_sidebar | Remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar in the app | 1 year |
| sy_sv | Set by websites and funnels our customers publish on Systemly, to count unique visits without identifying anyone. Limited to that one site. | 180 days |
2. Preferences
Your choice of light or dark theme is kept in your browser’s local storage, under theme. It never leaves your device.
3. Analytics
When product analytics is enabled, PostHog stores an identifier in a cookie and in local storage (named beginning ph_) so it can recognise a repeat visit. We use it to understand which pages and features are used, not to advertise. Session replay and heatmaps are limited to the public homepage, with form inputs and page text masked. See the privacy policy for more.
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones will stop you signing in; blocking the analytics ones has no effect on the service.
